John was a hard working man who dedicated his entire life working and operating the family farm. His passion for farming has been passed on to his sons who continue to farm today. John had many hobbies and interests such as wood working, model airplanes and general aviation which he enjoyed into his later years in life. He was also very active with his church community at South Cayuga Baptist Church. John was also a member and Past Master of Amity 32 Masonic Lodge in Dunnville. Most importantly, John was a family man and had a great love for his three granddaughters. He made them his number one priority and created many memories for them to cherish. To them, he was the best Papa anyone could ask for. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him. He maintained his contagious sense or humour right up until the end. We will miss his big heart and kind, positive attitude. We LOVE YOU, forever & always...

Peggy and family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. From when I first met John 31 years ago he was man I respected and occasionally asked advice. His love of the land showed in how he planted trees, how he tried new farming methods when he was younger, how he wanted to keep the Brennan farm in the good condition it was when he got it. Back then I got to walk many of his fields taking soil samples, so I saw these things first-hand.
I wish you all the strength and encouragement that can only come from our Father in heaven. Psalm 23 "the Lord is my shepherd...he leads me by still waters..."

Peggy,
I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I have fond memories of you & John when Mark & Julie were in one of my first classes as a teacher at Grandview School. You both made a new teacher - & new resident in Dunnville - very much at home & welcomed me as a teacher & friend, as well as a choral director for children at South Cayuga Baptist Church.
My sympathies & prayers are with you, Mark, Julie Corey & their families at this saddest of times.
