Obituary for Shirley Brown
Born in Dunnville, Ontario on January 21, 1928, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022 at the IOOF Long Term Care Home, in Barrie, Ontario.
Cherished wife of the late Arnold Brown (deceased July 7, 2012).
Lovingly remembered by her sister Jean McEachern, and brother Harold (Marian) Rigg. Sister-in-law's Dorothy Rigg, Frances Rigg and Minnie Rigg. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Mildred (Moore) Rigg, brothers Glen Rigg, Keith Rigg, Edward Rigg and brother-in-law Alan McEachern. Remembered by her Aunt Lois, Aunt Pearl and her nieces, nephews and their families.
A special thanks to the nursing staff at IOOF Long Term Care Home, 10 Brooks Street, Barrie, and Liz for their special personal care. We wish to thank the staff at the IOOF Heritage Place Assisted Living, 20 Brooks Street, Barrie, for eight years of enjoyment and personal care. Shirley will be remembered for her volunteer work in the Dorset community and at the IOOF Barrie. Shirley was a proud member for 70 years of the Faith Rebekah Lodge #84.
There will be an IOOF Rebekah Lodge Service at 1:15pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:45pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Ballard-Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville, Ontario, N1A 1G4, 905-774-7277.
