Peacefully at Vitas hospice In Margate Florida on Friday, June 18, 2021, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Millie for over 24 years. Wonderful father of Norman Dashwood of Welland. Grandfather of the apple of his eye, Aaran Dashwood. Loving step dad of Penny (Larry)Lohsen, Neil & Micheal . Step grandfather of Ryan Lohsen.Loving son of Annie Fletcher of Dunnville and the late Blake Dashwood (1991). Loving brother of Pat (Harry) Upfold of Wainfleet, Nancy (Dale) DeWitt of Dunnville, and the late Beth Dashwood (1999) and step- brother of Debbie (Brian) Smelser. Like a brother to John( Nancy ) Stitzinger. Dear nephew of Ken (Pam) Dashwood. Loving Uncle of Matthew and the late Fran (2014) DeWitt, Adam DeWitt and Melissa (Jeff) Lloyd, and Great Uncle of Erica (Jacob) Chapman, Kelsey DeWitt, Dylan and Tyler LeDrew and Liam Lloyd. Ron was a great man who loved to drive his truck, play musical instruments and sing. He especially loved for his grandson Aaran to read to him every night on Skype. He had a great interest in the athletes of Special Olympics Haldimand. The family is thankful for all the prayers, cards and phone calls. A Memorial visitation will take place at the Dunnville Optimist Hall, 101 Main Street West, Dunnville on August 8th from 3-5pm. (Masks are required while inside the hall and physical distancing is required at all times. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MS or Special Olympics Haldimand.
