Obituary for Bob Douma
Psalm 46:10—“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Douma, Bob (Poppe)—At home, surrounded by close family, Bob passed peacefully into the arms of his Saviour on January 5, 2022. He was 78 years old. He was the beloved husband of Alice for more than 51 years, and the father of Beth Ann and Paul, Julie, Kristie, and Alicia and Dan. He was Papa to Caleb, Celeste, Paige, Callie, Penelope, and Felix. Dear brother and brother-in-law to Imie and Allardƚ, Jane and Clarence, Hilda and Dick, Helen and Garry, Harmaƚ, John and Bertha, Tilly and Bill, Lou and Grace, and Bill and Betty, as well as, Johnƚ and Joanne, Klaasƚ and Catherineƚ, and Helen and Ralphƚ.
Bob was born in Lutjegast (GR), the Netherlands. He immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1950. He married Alice in 1970. Their marriage was a true partnership where they raised their family in the knowledge of the Lord.
A private burial service will take place on Monday, January 10, 2022, followed by a Service of Comfort at the Wellandport United Reformed Church at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 74082 Wellandport Road.
