Dunlop, Dr. Peter Ewart (M.D., C.C.F.P.)
Dr. Peter Dunlop passed away peacefully at Grandview Lodge, Dunnville, on Friday, September 17, 2021 in his 83rd year. Peter was the beloved husband of Maryanna (nee Giles) for 58 years. He was the loving father of Geoff, Jennifer (Jeff) Glaves, Allison (Bryan) Snyder and Meghan (Jamie) Babineau. He was the proud Papa of 8 grandchildren: Johnathan, Julia, Brittany, Victoria, Merrick, Aiden, Cohen and Madelyn; and dear brother of Dr. William “Bill” (Diane) Dunlop. He was well-loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dr. Peter Dunlop was a passionate family physician in Dunnville for 40 years and retired from practice in 2003. Peter was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, bird hunting, cycling, travelling and woodworking. He enjoyed spending time at the family lake property. Peter was a member and past president of the Dunnville Lions Club, and an active member of the St. Paul’s Anglican Church. The family wishes to thank the supportive staff at Grandview Lodge for their compassionate and respectful care of Peter this past year. If desired, memorial donations to the Dunnville Lions Club, Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A private funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Dunnville on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Interment of ashes to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville.
