In his 82nd year he went peacefully to his heavenly home to meet his Saviour Beloved husband to Margaret Best nee Hill for the past 54 years. Father to Margaret-Ann Houtby nee Best (James Houtby). Proud grandfather to Kyle Houtby and Jaimie Weibe (Shawn Weibe).
Paul was born in Hamilton,raised in Stoney Creek but moved to the country five years after he wed Margaret.
The majority of Paul’s working life was spent at Firestone, Hamilton. He worked there for 28 years until the plant closed. To relax he loved to sit on his Gravely and cut the grass. He kept his lawn and garden immaculate.
He loved car racing, particularly Formula 1. Paul loved his dogs, they were always at his side. He really loved the time spent with his grandchildren and was incredibly proud of them. A very special thank you to Amber for all of her support.
The family is very thankful and appreciative of the love, support and friendship of Pastor Ralph.
Family will receive friends at the Ballard Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville, Sunday October 2nd from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday October 3rd at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow.
