Norm was born in Grimsby, Ontario and passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, ON. Many thanks to the staff and a special thank-you to Dr. Jeff and Nurse Aaron for their kindness and care. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 48 years, Valerie Metcalfe (nee Barfoot), his sons Michael and wife Pam, Bryan and wife Mia as well as his grandchildren Ashlyn, Parker, Desi, Eva, Harlow, Mateo and Hudson. He is also survived by his brothers Gordon, Rick and sister Susan. Norm was a Construction Supervisor for the Ministry of Transportation and Communication for 35 years. Norm will forever be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting and boating. More than anything, he enjoyed relaxing on his deck listening to his music, good conversations with his friends and family and teaching his grandchildren about life, nature or anything under the sun- they called him Grandpa “Google.” Any donations would greatly appreciated to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
