Obituary

It is with great sadness that Marvin's family announces his passing at home with family by his side on December 27, 2020 at 86 years of age.
Back in the loving arms of his wife Bernice (nee Downey)(2017). Dear father of John (Jennifer), Jim (late Kimberly) and Walter (Tabatha). Cherished grandfather of Brian (Moreen), Jeff (Charlotte), Adrien, Dacoda (Melanie), Ian (Mallory), Shawn and Brittany. Loving great grandfather of many and was soon to be the great great grandfather of a special wee one.
Marvin was the beloved brother of Doris Kriter, Graydon (Eileen) Pyle, Mary Ellen (Larry) Page, Glen Pyle and brother in law of Angela Pyle and Ethel Pyle
Predeceased by his parents Gerald and Edna Pyle (nee Lindsay). and Siblings Lillian (George) Barns, Thomas "Murray" (Betty) Pyle, James "Herbert" Pyle, Ken (Ellen) Pyle, Orval Pyle, Clark Pyle, Stan Pyle and brother in law Elmer Kriter.
Marvin was a strong, loving man, who taught his family that through hard work and perseverance any challenge could be overcome and every dream could be achieved. He will be fondly remember but greatly missed by all who knew him.
A private family visitation will be held at Ballard Minor Funeral Home, with a private family interment. In memory of Marvin, donations to Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated by the family.

We are sending heartfelt condolences to Jim, John and Walter and your families at this sad time. Marvin was such a kind, caring and respected gentleman and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was a special member of the Downey family for as long as I can remember.
Please treasure and share all of your memories of happy times together.

Uncle Marvin- a very special man! He was always a caring and protective Uncle! Loved listening to the stories he had! Will miss him very much! Please know we love you and are thinking of all the family at this time!! Praying for continued strength!!

I am so sorry for your loss. The Pyle boys were and are one of a kind. We were all so lucky to have them in our lives. Uncle Marvin was wonderful.
