Peacefully in her sleep, Elsie Tilstra went to her eternal home on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Glen (1995) and the late Jetse Tiersma (2012). Loving mother of Margaret (George) Elgersma of Elora, Betty (Howard) Peterson of Surrey, BC, Ted (Karen) Tilstra of Dunnville, Sid (Evelyn) Tilstra of Woodstock, Bruce (Sarah) Tilstra of Dunnville, John (Corinne) Tilstra of Langley, BC, Don (Jeanette) Tilstra of Dunnville and Ann (Jake) Horinga of Woodstock. Dear Beppe of 20 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Elsie is lovingly remembered by the Tiersma family. Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2-5 pm. (Masks are required at all times while in the funeral home. Advance registration is NOT required). Following a private family committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery, a public memorial service to celebrate the life of Elsie will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 17 Robinson Road, Dunnville on Monday, March 7 at 11 am. The service for Elsie will be livestreamed on the Dunnville Bethel CRC YouTube channel and available through the funeral home website for those who are unable to attend in person. If desired, donations to Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
