Obituary for Janice May Evers (Anderson)
It is with great sadness that the family of Janice May Evers announces her passing at Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton, On., on Monday December 20, 2021 in her 56th year. Beloved best friend and partner of Gordon McIntosh. Loving mother of Ashley (Rob Lipscombe), Vanessa Evers (Bob McNamara), Danielle MacGillivray (Jon Clarke) and J.R. MacGillivray. Cherished Alma to Charlee, Easton, Eli and Hudson. Janice will be fondly remembered by her siblings Richard (Cindy) Anderson, Heather (John Boychuk) Anderson, Cheryl Anderson and dearest friends Albert and Lynn Janssen.
Janice thoroughly enjoyed her job at Brain Injury (HIRO) where she created lifelong friendships.
Janice was known for her creativity, her stubborn will, her love for camping, Christmas, Snoopy and I love Lucy.
Being an Alma was her greatest title. She had a way of making every sleepover, visit and holiday special;creating traditions that will continue in her honour.
Despite the pain, Janice, remained our hero and stayed strong until the end. We all needed her, but God needed her more.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre, The Walker Cancer Centre and the ParaMed nurses Becky and Jen for their care and compassion for mom during her illness.
Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Wednesday December 22, 2021 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. (Masks and physical distancing are required at all times when on the funeral home property) A private service will be held in the chapel on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Maplelawn Cemetery in Wainfleet On.. In memory of Janice, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.ballardminorfh.ca
