Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jack Hielema can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Peacefully at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, the Lord called to Himself his beloved servant Jack on Monday, December 9, 2019, in his 86th year. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee VanNatten) for 58 years. Dear father of Philip and Arlene Hielema of St. Catharines, Anita and Terry Horlings of Bradford, Wanda and Mike Hill of Lucknow and Valerie and William Blyleven of Dunnville. Proud Opa of 17 grandchildren and Opie of 11 great grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Fred (Margaret) Hielema, Ralph (Gertie) Hielema, Susan (Cor) Rauwerda, Nancy (Bob) Lenos, Emma (the late Henry) Winter, Harry (Sharon) Hielema, Peter (Pat) Hielema, Tina (Kees) Rauwerda, Rose (George) Admiral, Ellen (the late Harold) McKenzie, Winnie (Hank) Winkel and Jack (Tina) VanNetten. Friends are invited to call at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 17 Robinson Road, Dunnville, on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 6-9 pm. Following a private family commital and interment service, the memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at Bethel CRC on Friday, December 13 at 11 am. If desired, donations to Dunnville Christian School, Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
