Obituary for Heinz Werner Zimmermann

Obituary of Heinz Werner Zimmermann
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our dad, at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family on Monday October 14, 2019, in his 77th year. Born in Recklinghausen, Germany Jim came to Canada as a young boy, arriving in Montreal and eventually settling in southern Ontario. Jim was a hard working simple man who lived life on his own terms, never apologizing for doing what he believed was right. A true diamond in the rough, he loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally, and would help anyone in need family, friends, and complete strangers alike. He had a passion for restoring antique cars and trucks, a hobby he enjoyed working on with his children. Loved father of Tina/Satenia, Jimmy/James, Scooter/Vanessa (Short/Graham), and informally adopted son Al Fonz (Lisa) Mitchell. Cherished grandfather of Ashlynn, Anastasia, Danielle (Ryan), Domenico, Dylan (Rachelle), Darren (Holly), and Deanna. Beloved great-grandfather of Emma, Amy, Leila, Jaxon, Paisley, Landon, Olivia, and Sophia. Brother of Gabrielle (Raymond). Pre-deceased by his father Helmut and mother Elizabeth. Fondly remembered by his ex-wife Linda, sister in-laws Sherry (Bob), Nancy (Geoff and Russ), Penny (Paul), Joanne (Bernard), and his many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the Ballard Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Thursday October 17th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. If so desired, donations to Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.ballardminorfh.ca
