Obituary for Glen Alan Meadows

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Alan Meadows on Tuesday, March 15 in his 95th year Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret "Muriel" Meadows (nee. Guliford). Loving father to Judy (Robert Robison), David (Supaporn Boonserm) Meadows, Paul (Vicki) Meadows. Cherished grandfather of Heather, Brendan, Cheryl (Peter), Sarah (Daniel), Dinah, Adam, Kyle (Angela) and Michael (Amanda), Proud great grandfather of Ryleigh, Luke, Peyton, Jocelynn and Landon. Glen will be fondly remembered by his sisters in law Shirley Meadows, Jean Meadows and Jeanette Meadows, as well as many nieces and nephews. Glen is predeceased by his parents Elmer and Hazel (nee. Lane) Meadows and his brothers and sister in law Keith (Emma), Carl, Sheldon and David. A special thank you to our cousin Sarah Meadows for all the help and support that you have provided. Thank you to the Grandview Lodge staff for the care and compassion that you have shown dad during his time in your care. Glen has been married to his wife Muriel for 70 years. They both lived in Bridgeview home area and could be seen visiting with family, friends and each other often. They have three children Judy, David and Paul and many more “Meadows” in grandchildren and great grand children. Glen was a factory worker and went back to school where he became a plumber. He was considered the “handyman” in the Dunnville area. Glen loved to walk in the outdoor spaces so it’s not hard to see that he loved to fish in his spare time. He was a great visitor and would tell you all about the area. He loved to reminiscence and visit with co-residents. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Gospel and Kenny Rogers. He loved to Bowl and was a member of the league for years. Dad was very strong in his Christian faith and spoke of this up until his passing, which was very peaceful. In keeping with Glen's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In memory of Glen, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society - Insulinoma Research, PSP Society of Canada, Grandview Lodge and Grace United Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville, Ontario, N1A 1G4. 905-774-7277.
