Passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 7th, 2023 in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Johanna. Loving Papa of Jenny (Stan) Hammond, late Anton, Maryke (Tom) Devries, Patrick, Anna Marie (late Brian) Stolys, Greda (Randy) Smith,Joan Ricker (Mike Parsons and late Bill Ricker). Opa of 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Gerrit will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends at Ballard Minor Funeral Home on Tuesday April 11th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 12th at Marantha Reformed Church, 42817 Highway #3, Wainfleet at 11 a.m. Interment Maple Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maranatha Reformed Church or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
