Our family is saddened to announce the passing of a wonderful man, Dennis Grimm. Dennis passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with his loved ones by his bed side at Edgewater Garden, Dunnville, Ontario, on Monday, August 22, 2022 just days after his 83rd birthday. He leaves behind his beloved wife Linda, his 3 beautiful daughters, Maria Szoke (Steve), Lisa Sterio, Jennifer Wolff (Bryan). Proud Grandpa of Jake, Lexi, Jackson, Madeline and Juliette and all the cousins. Predeceased by his parents Bert and Hazel Grimm. Dennis wore a number of hats during his lifetime, he was a figure skater in his youth, had a taste of banking then landed in a career he loved and excelled at, the Hospitality Industry and worked his way to Vice President, Marketing and Sales of a major hotel chain. He left the corporate world in 1987 and started his own business along with his wife, Linda, in Dunnville, Grimm's Country Place Fine Dining, Event Catering and Bowling Centre which they successfully ran until their retirement in May 2002. He was active in the Community, including the Haldimand Special Olympics, the Boards of HWMH, Haldimand County Hydro and the Dunnville Life Span Centre. Dennis loved spending time with his family, friends and meeting people. He was a gentle man, loved by many and will be forever missed. The service for Dennis will be at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville, Ontario with visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. The service will be livestreamed and available on the funeral home website for those wishing to support the family in this way.
