Suddenly, at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in his 97th year. Loving husband of Marjorie (nee Eyers) for 75 years. Beloved father Larry and dear friend Joanne Heatherton. Grandfather of Jenny (Jason) Pigeon and Sara Dekker and great grandfather of Dylan, Avery, Pria and Nate. Predeceased by his siblings Olivia, Stella, Ina and Leon. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Harley. Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. (Those wishing to attend the visitation must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home at 905-774-7277. Masks are required at all times while on the funeral home property). The funeral service for Carl will be held at Ballard Minor Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11 am. Because seating is limited due to gathering size restrictions, you must RSVP to attend the service. Those unable to reserve a seat at the service are welcome to join with the family at the graveside committal service at Lowbanks Cemetery at approximately noon on Wednesday. If desired, donations to the Lowbanks Fire Department or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
