“Absent from the body, present with the Lord”


On Thursday, August 26, 2021, Ruth Cieszkowski passed away peacefully at Grandview Lodge after a short illness, living a full life of 90 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Victor (2004). Celebrating her life as we mourn her passing are her children James Richard (Diane), Heather Christine (Bruce), and Anne Marie (Harold). Her humour and presence will live on through her 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Pat Mein-Shields. Predeceased by her brothers Ross (Oona), Jim (Muriel) and Bill Shields. We are so thankful for the compassionate and professional care mom received from the staff of Grandview Lodge. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Dunnville. Those wishing to give memorial donations, please consider Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation or the Grandview Lodge Residents Council.
