Obituary for Bettyann Gibson

Bettyann Gibson went to be with her Lord and Saviour from the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on Sunday May 23, 2021.
Bettyann ( Holder) Gibson in her 81st year. Loving wife of William Arthur Gibson for 56 years. Beloved sister of Jean Holder of Bowmanville and the late Veron Metcalfe), Joy Anderson (late William) of Lucknow. Sister in law of Geraldine Gibson (late Roy), Anita (late Don) Allen, Bob (Jeanne) Gibson. Bettyann is predeceased by her parents Herbert and Eva Holder and brother Larry Holder. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Bettyann was born in Smiths Falls, Ontario on July 29, 1940. She moved to Hamilton with her family in 1951. Bettyann was a kind, loving soul who devoted her life to helping others. In her work with an N.G.O. she travelled to many third world countries with a heart for the less fortunate. Bettyann was also a twenty year cancer survivor. Her faith in God brought her through that long hard fought battle, along with the support and love of her faithful husband. She was youthful in spirit and actions and never wanted to turn 80, it sounded too old. She was a member of Sherbrooke Baptist Church in Lowbanks. Bettyann was dearly loved and she will be dearly missed.
