Passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2022, after a courageous battle with Leukemia at the age of 69. Devoted mother of Amanda McAlonan. Barb is predeceased by her father Edwin Stresman (1956), step-father Bob Wilson (1997) and her good friend and late husband Kevin McAlonan (2022). She will be dearly missed by her mother Beulah Wilson. Beloved sister of Marlene Wilson and Lisa (Gary) Chappelle. Dear niece of Donna (Clare) Lusk, sister-in-law of Kathy (Allan) Killins and aunt of Kari (Ian) Jean and Jessica (Thomas) Plucknette. Auntie Barb will be especially missed by Josh (Rebecca) MacDonald whom she always considered as the son she never had. She leaves behind many cousins and friends. Barb was very proud of her 52 years of service as a Dietary Aide at Grandview Lodge and was well known for her amazing baking. She loved to play her accordion and was once on stage in New York City. In her down time she enjoyed relaxing with her cats, shopping and playing cards, especially if she had a lone hand in euchre. Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street, Dunnville on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 3-7 pm and Saturday August 13 from 11:30 am -12:30p.m. Funeral service will start at1 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville.
