In God’s infinite wisdom, after succumbing to the effects of a stroke, He called to Himself one of His beloved children, Aaltje ‘Alice’ Smit. Cherished wife of the late James Smit. Loving mother of Judy (Dave) Vandersleen, Natalie (Dave) Koning, Roger (Jodi) Smit, Christy (Dan) Kikkert, late Michelle (1989), Melissa (Brent) Miedema. Loving grandmother of 24 grandchildren – Jonathan, Daniel, Joel, Sarah, Hannah, Thomas, Lucas Vandersleen, Meaghan, Jakob, Ethan, Abigail Koning, Reuben, Keziah Smit, Sydney, Aaron, Aiden, Ava, Claire Kikkert, Justin, Analies, Evan, Lincoln, Piper, Faith Miedema. Dear Sister of Tjalke (Willy) De Roos, Antje (late Jella) Mulder, Willem (late Lenie) De Roos, late Leendert (Sien) De Roos, Frans (Elfie) De Roos, Andries (Helen) De Roos. Friends are invited to call at Wellandport United Reformed Church, 74082 Wellandport Road, Wellandport on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at Wellandport URC on Tuesday, January 21 at 11:30 am.
